様々な領域で活動する共演者たちと毎回新たな上演を試みる、ダンサー・振付家 水越朋による実験企画シリーズ。

「邂逅」「怪光」「海溝」……
幾つもの意味を内包する〈KAIKOH〉という語には、既知の枠組みを揺さぶりながら、身体が未知なる存在や現象と触れ合い、深くひらかれていく場でありたいという意図が込められている。

今回は「物体と身体と、」というテーマを手がかりに、あらたな海域へと向かう。

遠くの港へ、水深6,000メートルの彼方へ──
思わぬものと出逢うための漂流航海。

KAIKOH Project is an ongoing experimental performance series led by dancer and choreographer Tomo Mizukoshi, in which new collaborations with artists from diverse fields are explored each time.

The word KAIKOH—evoking layered meanings such as “encounter,” “mysterious light,” and “deep sea trench”—carries the intention of creating a space where the boundaries of the known are gently unsettled, and the body is opened to encounters with the unknown: unfamiliar presences, phenomena, and sensations.

In this iteration, taking the theme “Of Objects and Bodies,” the project sets course toward uncharted waters.

To a distant port, to 6,000 meters below the sea—
a drifting voyage in search of unexpected encounters.

水越朋 / Tomo Mizukoshi

神奈川県出身。桜美林大学総合文化学群演劇専修を卒業後、笠井叡、上村なおか、笠井瑞丈などの作品に出演。
2014年よりソロダンス活動を開始。身体とイメージ、空間や環境、そのあいだに生まれるもの、瞬間に立ち上がる身体感覚を重視した表現を探求している。これまで劇場、アートスペース、古民家など様々な場所で作品を発表。
音楽家・現代美術家・画家・映像作家など他ジャンルのアーティストとの共演も精力的に取り組む。自主企画「KAIKOH project」の開催や、演劇作品への出演、ゲーム・モデル・映像作品出演など多岐にわたり活動。

地球上に眠る残糸を資源として、糸を原子、糸を編むことを結晶形成と捉え、彫刻やインスタレーションを制作。近年の主な展示に、「力石咲 滞在制作・展示 『ファイバー！　サバイバー！　ここにある術』」（東京都渋谷公園通りギャラリー、東京、2023年）、「開館25周年記念 全館コレクション展『これらの時間についての夢』」（宇都宮美術館、栃木、2022年）などがある。また、「吉祥寺ダンスLAB. vol.4『エコトーン ECHO-TONE』」（吉祥寺シアター、東京、2022年）などの舞台も手がける。https://www.muknit.com/
